March Focus- Letter Sounds and Recognition- sh, bl blend, ar ou, qu digraphs. Retell our favourite stories and short stories. Ordering and sequencing in literacy (first, then, next). Inquiry based activities using magnets, (forces) , transportation activities. In Math- Numbers 1-10, Math sentences, differences, non standard units of measurement, and dice games to 12.
March is here and we learn to use our problem solving skills in science! What positional words do you know? What is magnetic and HOW many modes of transportation can we name? What is different? What is missing? We learn how to be detectives and spot things that do not belong.
Students will:
- Read words based on Letter Sounds that were covered.
- Learn about transportation and magnets
- Take part in discussions about themselves and their ideas on forces and differences.
- Create art to express themselves and their likes
- Respond to predicting and explaining WHY
- Use a variety of materials to express Literacy and Numeracy behaviours.
- Take part in 3 STEAM activities
