January Focus- Letter Sounds and Recognition- j, z, w, v, y and a review of the letter sounds from fall term. Concepts of print and Author focus: Robert Munsch. In numeracy; hierarchal inclusion, 5 and 10 frames. Science learning includes Inquiry of animals, animal tracks, hibernation, winter adaptations and Jan Brett's "The Mitten." STEAM includes symmetry challenge, building a den, making blubber and animal tracks.
